Prepare a clear artwork handoff for custom pickleball paddles: model templates, front and back graphics, color references, packaging and sample approval.
1. Match the artwork to the exact model
Choose the paddle model before finalizing graphics. Ask for its current artwork template and confirm which side is the front. A design made for another shape can put text too near the edge or handle. Use separate, clearly named front and back files; include the model code and revision date.
2. Send editable files and a visual reference

Provide a vector logo when available, plus a PDF preview showing the intended layout. Confirm the supplier’s accepted file formats and font requirements. State logo dimensions, position and color references. A screen mockup communicates intent; it does not prove the final color or appearance on the selected surface.
3. Separate a digital proof from a physical sample
First check spelling, orientation, logo position and the correct revision on the digital proof. Then review the physical sample for actual color, graphic placement, finish and grip or edge details. If an aspect cannot be assessed from a photograph, request the appropriate sample before authorizing production. Do not treat artwork approval alone as approval of the whole paddle.
4. Keep packaging and revisions in the same approval record
List the paddle model, front/back artwork filenames, packaging file, barcode supplied by your business, sample reference, approver and approval date. Record changes explicitly. For example, “front logo moved 5 mm; back unchanged” is clearer than “use the latest design.” A packaging change after sample approval needs its own confirmation.
5. Send a brief that can be quoted
Include quantity per model, destination market, logo files, packaging needs, sample requirements and target delivery date. At Global Carbon Sports, standard custom-logo orders start from 100 paddles per model; new shapes, constructions or tooling are assessed separately. Confirm the selected model and scope before assuming that a sample, packaging option or deadline is included.
